Documentary about Chaco Canyon to be shown December 22

 On Saturday, Dec. 22, from 1-2pm, please join us for a viewing of the documentary “In Search of History – Pueblo Cliffdwellers”. Visit the incredible ancient homes of Chaco Canyon, New Mexico including the 800 room Pueblo Bonito and search for clues to the lives of their long-vanished builders. Total running time 50 minutes.

After the documentary, visit the featured exhibit Pueblo to Pueblo: The Legacy of Southwest Pottery. The exhibit features selections from the Collection of the Kansas City Museum and Union Station Kansas City. Curated by Bill Mercer, the exhibit highlights work from many Native American tribes, including Acoma, Laguna, Zuni and more.

The Branigan Cultural Center is located downtown next to the Museum of Art at 501 N. Main Street.  Admission to the program and galleries is free.  Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
