Saturday, April 16, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Museum of Nature and Science
The Science, Nature, and Art Program (SNAP!) at the Museum of Nature and Science will feature hands-on activities about African cultures and geography, as a preview to the Dona Ana Arts Council’s presentation of Cirque Zuma Zuma on April 22. Explore aspects of the performers’ rich heritage and create projects to take home. You may also register to win two tickets to the show, generously offered by the arts council.
Back again after selling out the historic Rio Grande Theatre last season, Cirque Zuma Zuma is back to wow you once again. Many have had the privilege to experience the blend between traditional and a wide variety of arts and circus skills done in an African-style, have you? This show is a high-energy dance act, part Cirque du Soleil, part Harlem Globetrotters, above all, it is fast paced and full of acrobatic ingenuity.
The Museum of Nature and Science is located at 411 N. Main Street, adjacent to the Las Cruces Museum of Art. The exhibits and events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, Thursday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
