Join the Branigan Cultural Center for a presentation and reenactment of Bracero stories. The program “Remember the Braceros-Personal Accounts” is presented by Raymond Cobos on Friday, July 6, at 5:30pm during the First Friday Ramble.
Immediately following the presentation by Mr. Cobos, patrons will have the unique opportunity to speak with actors portraying specific Bracero workers researched by Raymond Cobos. Actors include Zach Castillo, Hugo Sanchez, Gilbert Paéz, Steve Duran, Nadine Hartwell, and Steve Aquino. Music from the time will be performed by Music Alegre’s Olivia Paéz, Martha Griffin, Deborah Oliver, and July McClure. Spanish guitar will be played by Lazaro Castro.
Admission is free to the Branigan Cultural Center, located at 501 N. Main Street. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm, Wednesday from 10am to 8pm, and Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm.
