The Las Cruces Museum System, in memory of William Wachtel, offers a limited number of scholarships for children, teens, and adults to participate in classes at the museums.
Scholarships apply to classes at each museum, including art programs, science camps, summer camp and history/cultural workshops. Scholarships are intended to provide financial assistance to individuals interested in museum classes, and, if awarded, the scholarship covers 100% of the class tuition and required supplies.
To apply, complete the online scholarship application: http://bit.ly/LCMScholarships.
Scholarship applications for summer must be received by May 1, for classes that are hosted between June 1 – August 31.
Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for qualifying applications. Students applying for a scholarship cannot register for class in advance. Scholarship applications are accepted each trimester and are destroyed at the end of the session.
The Scholarship Application is separate from the Course Registration, and applicants will be asked to provide proof of need. If you receive a Scholarship Award, you will register for your selected course during the open registration period.
Scholarships are sponsored by the Foundation for Las Cruces Museums.
