April 30, 9 am – 12 noon at Branigan Cultural Center
The City of Las Cruces will hold its annual Arbor Day celebration from 9:00 am – noon, Saturday, April 30, in the courtyard of the Branigan Cultural Center.
There will be a dedication by Arbor Day founder J. Sterling Morton, portrayed by New Mexico State University professor Dr. John Mexal, at 10:30 am.
A free tree raffle will be held at 11:00 am. Visitors must be present to win. Local organizations will have information tables and provide various activities.

The Branigan Cultural Center is located at 501 N. Main Street, adjacent to the Museum of Art. The exhibits and events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, Thursday from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
