Las Cruces, NM – The Branigan Cultural Center presents Artoberfest by Penny Thomas Simpson. The exhibition of watercolors, acrylic paintings, and pencil drawings begins on Friday, October 5 and concludes on Saturday, October 27. A reception with the artist takes place at the Branigan Cultural Center on Friday, October 5, from 5pm to 7pm during the monthly Ramble.
Ms. Simpson concentrates on fruit, flowers and still-lifes and completes her pieces with splashes of dramatic lighting to give her works greater realism. Her work has been exhibited in both state and national one-person shows and in juried competitions. Most recently, she was an award winner at the 2011 Western Federation of Watercolor Societies Exhibit. Celebrate October at the Branigan in the intoxicating company of Artoberfest with Penny Thomas Simpson.
