Join us Tuesday, November 20, 2018, through Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the Las Cruces Museum of Art, for Birds in Art, a traveling exhibit from the Lee Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wausau, Wisconsin.
Innovative artistic approaches and intriguing mediums – from bronze, wood, and Montana dendritic steatite to watercolor, oil, pyrography, and solar etching – convey the character, essence, and surroundings of birds. The annual “Birds in Art” exhibition features dynamic and contemplative interpretations of avian marvels via original paintings, sculptures, and graphics created within the last three years.
The museum is located at 491 N. Main Street and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm, and Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm. For additional information, visit the website at: http://las-cruces.org/museums or call 575.541.2137.
