The Las Cruces Railroad Museum hosts a “Brown Bag Lecture” at 12pm on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. On February 12, Patricia Kiddney will present “Hobos in the Border Region During the Great Depression”.
An El Pasoan since 1967, Kiddney has been active in the historical preservation efforts of El Paso County since 1992 through Concordia Heritage Association (maintaining, protecting and preserving historic Concordia Cemetery), El Paso County Historical Commission, Harvey Girls of El Paso and Southwest Chapter of Railway & Locomotive Historical Society.
As a founding member of the award-winning Six Guns & Shady Ladies Old West reenactment group since 1998, Patricia began specializing as the lead storyteller of the Shady Lady Storytellers in 2003. Her interest in history has led her to form her unique style of storytelling of more than 20 historical characters.
