“Designing Paquimé Pottery Workshop with Explora Museum” at the BCC

Join us for the “Designing Paquimé Pottery Workshop with Explora Museum” on Saturday, Jan. 12 from 10 to 11am. In this program students explore the techniques, designs and materials used by potters from the ancient site of Paquimé, in Chihuahua. Using a variety of materials and natural pigments, students make their own pottery and homemade paintbrushes in the Paquimé style. Ages 9-12. All materials are provided. Free. Pre-registration is required.

After the workshop, the children will visit the featured exhibit “Pueblo to Pueblo: The Legacy of Southwest Pottery”.

The Branigan Cultural Center is located downtown next to the Museum of Art at 501 N. Main Street.  Admission to the galleries is free.  Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
