May Events for the Whole Family at the LC Railroad Museum

The Las Cruces Railroad Museum presents a variety of programs during May that are sure to interest different members of the family. Choose an activity that fits your interests, and enjoy it in our historic 1910 Santa Fe Depot museum.

Rail Readers Book Club meets at 11am on May 16 to discuss The Night Journal, written by Elizabeth Crook. Even if you haven’t read the book, come enjoy the lively conversation.

There will be three story times for children in May, all beginning at 11am. On May 19, children of all ages can listen to a story and complete a related craft. On May 10, Mrs. Prickett and her charming puppets will engage pre-school children with a book and activity.

Adults who enjoy coloring can come between 10am – 12pm on May 11 and 25. This is a chance to enjoy socializing with other adults while expressing yourself creatively. Bring your own supplies or use our coloring pages and colored pencils.

Family Game Day is 10am – 12pm on Saturday, May 12. Challenge your friends to a game of Dominoes, practice your hand-eye coordination with Cup and Ball Toss, and play a variety of games that have entertained families for centuries.

The museum is located at 351 N. Mesilla Street and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm and Saturday 9am to 4:30pm.   For additional information, visit the website at: or call (575) 528-3444.
