PictoGraff: The Art of Warprayer, 5/5, 9am, BCC

“PictoGraff: The Art of Warprayer” highlights the historical value of wall art and expressions of the Indigenous mind. Join us for a celebration of arrowsoul art in Las Cruces on Saturday, May 5, 9am-1pm at the Branigan Cultural Center.

Join us as we transform the courtyard between the Museum of Art and Branigan Cultural Center into an art studio for aerosol, marker, and screen-print artists. Join local artist SABA and arrowsoul artists Joseph Sullivan, UNEK, Rogue, Zyme One and Neoglyphix as they perform a live art demonstration as they collaborate on a large-scale art piece communicating images of place, belonging, and community through indigenous lens. DJ Aight will perform during the event.

In addition to watching the artists at work, community members are invited to participate in the creation of a community artwork with additional hands-on art activities that complement this vibrant street art event.

The Branigan Cultural Center is located at 501 N Main Street in Las Cruces. Admission to the museums is free and the museums are open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm, and Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm. For additional information, visit the website at museums.las-cruces.org or call 575.541.2154.
