The Rail Readers Book Club meets at the Las Cruces Railroad Museum at 11:00 am on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. On November 21 we will discuss David Baldacci’s “The Christmas Train.”
Tom Langdon, veteran reporter, has been banned from flying after a “misunderstanding” with airport security. Needing to get from Washington, D.C., to Los Angeles for Christmas, he boards Amtrak for a ride that will take him on a journey of discovery. Tom must confront his own past, and in the process discovers that he is not the only one with a hidden story. An unexpected snow storm brings the passengers together as only danger can, and Tom’s actions will have a lasting effect on all of them.
