The Las Cruces Railroad Museum offers a variety of programs during November that will appeal to everyone in the family. Choose an activity that fits your interests and enjoy it in our 1910 Santa Fe Depot museum. As we prepare for the holiday events, come during the last week of the month to get a sneak peek at our fabulous holiday decorations.
Rail Readers Book Club meets at 11am on the 3rd Wednesday. On November 21, we will discuss the book I Married a Soldier by Lydia Spencer Lane. Lane originally wrote her memoirs for her family, and they have been published into a book giving a factual account of her life as the wife of a civil war lieutenant. Even if you haven’t read the book, come enjoy the lively conversation.
Adults who enjoy coloring can come to our Coloring Club between 10am – 12pm on November 9. This is a chance to enjoy socializing with other adults while expressing yourself creatively. Bring your own supplies or use our coloring pages and colored pencils.
Family Game Day is from 10am – 12pm on Saturday, November 10. Challenge your friends to a game of Dominoes, practice your hand-eye coordination with Cup and Ball Toss, and play a variety of games that have entertained families for centuries.
The museum is located at 351 N. Mesilla Street and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30 pm and Saturdays 9am to 4:30pm. For additional information, visit the website at: http://las-cruces.org/museums or call (575) 528-3444.
