The Reading Art Book Club meets next on Wednesday, July 11, at 2:30pm in the Las Cruces Museum of Art. This month’s selection is “Photography: The 50 Most Influential Photographers of All Time” (Icons of Culture) by Chris Dickie.
This book presents the ideas and images of 50 of the most influential photographers in history and chronicles 10 of the most significant trends and developments in the field of photography. From portraiture to fashion, and from photojournalism to gallery art, the reader is introduced to the inspirational forces that have shaped the way in which the world views itself and offers a clear, concise understanding of the evolution of one of humankind’s most versatile and revealing art forms.
The Reading Art Book Club meetings are free and open to the public; join us even if you haven’t read the book! For more information or for details on book selections, contact Bryan Lee, Museum Curator of Education, at 575-541-2217 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The museum is located at 491 North Main Street and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm, Wednesdays 10am to 8pm, and Saturdays from 9am to 4:30pm.
