Water is a critical requirement of life, especially in the desert. Find out what makes a healthy river and how water marks our landscape at “Saturday Family Science” on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 11:45am-12:45pm at the Museum of Nature and Science.
During this one-hour session, families will work together to study how rivers move and channels are formed. We will predict streamflow in mock watersheds, create maps, and observe how healthy rivers provide a healthy environment.
Admission to the Museum of Nature and Science is free. The museum is located at 411 North Main Street and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm and Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm. For additional information, visit the website at: http://las-cruces.org/museums or call (575) 522-3120.
