The Las Cruces Museum System will be offering two spring break day camps, March 20 through March 24, 2017, from 10 am to 1 pm.
Treasure hunters wanted! The museums invite 1st through 5th grade students to join us on a treasure hunt adventure across the Las Cruces museums. Each participant will explore the museums in a hands-on experience about treasure hunting. Follow the clues to reveal the museums’ hidden treasure chest, and learn what it means to be a treasure hunter.
Become a Forensic Scientist at the museums with our second camp open to 6th to 8th grade youth. Participants will go on an adventure to solve a mystery at the museums. Join us as we learn how to collect and analyze evidence found at a mock crime scene and discover the truth behind the mystery. This camp includes opportunities to meet local law enforcement including local Police Officers, Crime Scene Investigators, Border Patrol, and members of the Fire Department.
Camp registration is $25 per child. Register at the Museum of Nature & Science located at 411 North Main Street by March 18, 2017.
Admissions to the Las Cruces Museums is free! The museums are located Downtown and are open Tuesday – Friday from 10am to 4:30pm and Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm. For additional information, visit the website at: museums.las-cruces.org or call 575.522.3120.
