STEAMpunk – Nikola Tesla, Electrical Engineer

The Museum of Nature & Science presents, “STEAMpunk – Tesla,” Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:45am. The program is free and open to the public.

Nicola Tesla was an electrical engineer and inventor most famous for creating the alternating current induction motor and the “Tesla coil.”    Participants will explore Tesla’s inventions through demonstrations and hands-on activities.

“STEAMpunk” is offered monthly, highlighting the work of an historic scientist through hands on exploration. The content and activities are intended for ages 7-12.

The museum is located at 411 N. Main Street and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm, Wednesday from 10am to 8pm (June – August), and Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm.  For additional information, visit the website at: http://las-cruces.org/museums or call (575) 522-3120.
