The Greater Las Cruces League of Women Voters: Celebrating 50 Years of Service Exhibit

A display on the 50-year history of the Greater Las Cruces League of Women Voters is on view in the Branigan Cultural Center through August 25, 2018. The display highlights the Las Cruces chapter’s mission, its positions, and its advocacy from its founding through its current activities. A member forum focused on mental health issues and Doña Ana County will be held in conjunction with the exhibit on Wednesday, July 18, at 7pm in the Branigan Cultural Center.

The League of Women Voters is a national, nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The Las Cruces chapter’s voter services include voter registration, candidate forums, and voters guide publications, with the mission of ensuring that all eligible voters have unbiased, nonpartisan information when exercising their important right to vote.

Admission is free to the Branigan Cultural Center, located at 501 North Main Street. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm, Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm, and Wednesdays from 10am to 8pm in June, July, and August. For additional information, call 575-541-2154.
