“Train Deportation During the Holocaust,” 10am at RRM on March 16

The Las Cruces Railroad Museum will host a special Saturday lecture “Train Deportation During the Holocaust” at 10am on March 16, 2019 presented by NMSU student Andres Baca, an Accounting major with a strong interest in history, who has been working at the Railroad Museum since October 2018.

Railroad systems across Europe were used extensively by the Nazi Party to transport Jewish people, and others persecuted by the Nazis, to concentration camps. The conditions that existed on these trains, and the losses that resulted, are the topics of this presentation.

The museum is located at 351 N. Mesilla Street and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm and Saturday 9am to 4:30pm. For additional information, call (575) 528-3444.
