Winter art classes begin this week at the Las Cruces Museum of Art! A limited number of spaces are available in adult classes, and there are several new and exciting creative opportunities for children.
Adult classes include a five-week fabric printing and dyeing workshop with local artist Greg Decker, and a master painting class for experienced artists with the celebrated local artist Michael Ponce. Spaces are still available in Dorothy Zitzler’s ceramics class and in a drawing class taught by Tim Billman. Zitzler and Decker are also offering children’s classes and workshops in ceramics and fabric design, respectively.
Class schedules and registration forms are available at the museum, and under the Activities and Programs section of the Museum of Art’s webpage at www.las-cruces.org/museums .
The Museum of Art is funded by the City of Las Cruces and located at 491 N. Main Street next to the Branigan Cultural Center and the Museum of Nature & Science. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The Museum is closed Sundays and Mondays.
