The Rail Readers Book Club meets at the Las Cruces Railroad Museum at 11:00 am on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. On March 18, the group will discuss Mrs. Queen Takes the Train, written by William Kuhn.
What happens when The Queen of England decides to walk away from her palace without telling anyone? Staff are thrown into a tizzy, and a furtive attempt is begun to find and retrieve her without alerting the public or national security. The search brings together several previously antagonistic coworkers and sparks unlikely friendships and romances. Meanwhile, The Queen is enjoying the anonymity of traveling alone on a train, talking with other commuters about body piercings and movies.
