Brown Bag Lunch Lecture – Hatch Public Library: Past and Future

Hatch Public Library Director Lisa Neal will share her research on the history of the Hatch library and the community it serves during a Brown Bag Lecture at the Las Cruces Railroad Museum on Tuesday, April 8 at 12pm.

The Hatch library is housed in a retired Santa Fe Railroad depot. It was moved off the railroad line and turned into the library years ago. Many of the depot’s original artifacts are housed in the library. A native of Hatch with a passion for local history, Neal believes it is very important that visitors understand the building’s history. Neal is currently working on a degree in Library Sciences. She is involved in the Hatch Chamber of Commerce, has served on the Chile Festival Committee, and is active in 4-H.

Light refreshments served. For more information, please call 647-4480. The museum is located at 351 N. Mesilla Street, at the intersection of Las Cruces Ave.
