The Las Cruces Railroad Museum will host a lecture at noon on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.
New Mexico has a rich history of railroading, especially into and around mining areas. Joseph E. Gill will discuss the Santa Fe Railroad’s service in the New Mexico Territory up to the time when service was discontinued to Silver City.
Gil has a Master’s of Science in Counseling from San Bernardino State University in California. His father worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 39 years and this fostered Joe’s life-long interest in railroads and their history.
Light refreshments served. For more information, please call 647-4480.
The museum is located at 351 N. Mesilla Street, at the intersection of Las Cruces Ave.
