“Reverie” by Rebecca Rands Eisenhauer
On Saturday, September 28, in conjunction with its current show, From the Ground Up XXVI, the Museum of Art presents a ceramic demonstration and lecture by artist, Rebecca Rands Eisenhauer. The demonstration will be held from 10:00 am to 11:30 am in the Museum of Art courtyard. A lecture will follow at 1:00 pm. Registration is not required.
From the Ground Up XXVI is a regional and juried display of contemporary ceramics. This biennial event is held in collaboration with the Potters’ Guild of Las Cruces. Rebecca Rands Eisenhauer has one piece in the show, Reverie. Eisenhauer is a humanist artist, who is in love with the human form and interested in the complex aspects of the human condition and perspective. She works with high fire clays to create human masks and ceramic sketches, while also working with bronze to create a number of bronze sculptures and memorial plaques.

The Museum of Art is funded by the City of Las Cruces and located at 491 N. Main Street next to the Branigan Cultural Center and the Museum of Nature & Science. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The Museum is closed Sundays and Mondays.
