For the Love of Art Exhibit at the Branigan Cultural Center

The Branigan Cultural Center and the ArtForms Artists Association present For the Love of Art.  The exhibit opens on Friday, February 7 and concludes on Saturday, March 1.  A reception with the artists is to be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Friday, February 7 during the monthly Ramble. The Over Come Band will perform during the reception.

For the Love of Art is a celebration of art in all media.  Paintings, drawings, sculptures, jewelry, paper, fiber arts, and wood are on display. The mission of ArtForms is to ensure “…that our creative community is regarded as a revenue-generating industry that has broad visibility…and welcome the public to exhibits reflecting the vibrancy, diversity, history and culture of art  in southern New Mexico.”

In addition to the exhibit, there will be weekly programs celebrating different arts. Each Saturday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm will be a public performance. February 8 will be 10+1 Percussion Drummers and Dancers, February 15 will be a performance by Randy Granger, and February 22 will be a poetry reading by Sin Fronteras.

The Branigan Cultural Center is located at 501 N. Main Street, Downtown next to the Museum of Art. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
