Introduce Children Ages 3-5 to the Universe

Calling all Planeteers to MoNaS! Through this program, children ages 3 to 5 explore the solar galaxies and the universe! This series is held on the first Thursday of every month beginning at 9am. It is free to the public and registration is not required.

On April 4, our subject is the comets that are made from dust and ice like a dirty snowball. Comets dance in every direction through the outer regions of the solar system. When comets get too close to the sun, however, their dazzling tails melt and are left behind for us to see in the night’s sky.

Come and learn about the comets at MoNaS where you can make your own comet. You are going to be fascinated by these glorious and rare objects that soar for our enjoyment!

MoNaS is located at 411 North Main Street. For more information, call (575) 522-3120 or visit the website http://museums.las-cruces.org/.
